Watch TV for Free at Hulu.com
If you haven't already heard, there are several ways to watch tv for free via the web. One way is at Hulu.com I had heard of this website a few times on tv and also through a few people I know. Being the skeptic I am, I figured there was some type of catch and so it took me a while to give this website a try. Well, today (in between a fussy baby LOL) I signed up to see what it was all about and so far I think it's pretty cool and definitely worth checking out! Signing up was extremely easy and from what I read on the Terms of Use and small print, there isn't a charge and I couldn't find "the catch". The only thing I found was that when you are watching an episode, it's interupted occasionally but VERY briefly for a short advertisement. These were usually 20 seconds or less and I think there were only 4 in a hour episode that I watched. In my opinion, that's not a big deal. Of course you can't watch everything but there is a nice selection of shows which have full length episodes on there. Also, from what I can tell, they don't have all of the episodes of most of the series on there but they have many. I'm still trying to figure out how the site works but just thought that I'd mention it to those of you who may be interested in this sort of thing. I'm not sure if they post new full lengh episodes often or if what they have is just what they have (i.e. a hook to get you interested in a series so that you watch it on regular tv). I have a kick-butt monitor that's actually a HDTV (totally thanks to my dad b/c we surely wouldn't have been able to afford it! LOL) but because I don't have any type of fancy video card, the resolution/graphics aren't all that great but it's not that bad either and it's something that could be purchased in the future if I plan to watch more tv via the computer. I'll be sure to post again about this site once I have a little more experience. Enjoy!
